eTendering System is a process of procuring the items electronically using internet. This facility drastically reduces the tendering cycle time and reduces most of the indirect costs.

The objective of the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tender Act, enacted in 1998 by the Government of Tamil Nadu, was to ensure open and fair procedures while undertaking construction and procurement of goods and services by the Government and Governmental organisations.

With a view to making the tendering process even more transparent, eTendering was proposed by the Finance Minister in the Budget Speech on 23rd March 2007.

In the first phase of the eTendering System, tenderers will be able to download free of cost (GO MS. No.177 dt.22nd May 2007) the tender applications from this Tenders Tamil Nadu Portal, without any hindrance, for open tenders of value exceeding Rs.10 lakhs.

The tenderers can use the link 'Latest Tenders' to see all the tenders hosted on this Portal and download the Tender Schedules free of cost.

The link 'Tenders by Closing Date' gives the facility to view the Tenders which are closing Today or closing within next 7 days or closing within next 14 days.

The link Corrigendum lists all the corrigendums published for the related Tenders.

The site also provides facility to search for tenders on various parameters such as Tenders based on value, department, product category, etc.

For downloading the documents, Tenderers will have to register with our Portal, which is free of cost. It is enough if you register once using your valid email account. This will help us to keep you informed of Tender related messages which may be of interest to you. You can use this registered account from any computer system for downloading Tender documents from our Tenders Tamil Nadu Portal.

However, if you do not want to register immediately, you can use the guest account guest@tn.gov.in with the password tnguest and login to our site.

Registration for eTendering is very simple. Go to Tenders Page and just fill up the registration form prepared by us . We will enable your ID on eTendering.

Drawings are part of the tender documents. After downloading the tender documents, you can refer to the drawings which are divided into parts. These parts can be pasted as guidelines provided in the tender document and view the complete drawing

After registering on the eTendering System, you would regularly log-in to your account and can find the information regarding tenders. You will also receive a mail notification regarding the publication of the tender notice.

Yes. After logging on the to the Tenders Home page you can update the information whenever you require by clicking on "Edit Profile".

Please check the E Mail Id provided by you during registration. Log on to the Tenders site and go to "Edit Profile" to check. You can the change the E Mail ID.

It is advised to have a computer with Pentium IV and above configuration and an internet connection. Otherwise you can use the services of any internet center for the purpose.

Presently the registration is free.

Send a mail to the system administrator by clicking on "Forgot Password" and the new password will be sent to you by mail.

After logging into your account, you will find a link to Change the Password.

Password is encrypted at the database level. It is known only to you. Even the System Administrator does not know your password. As a part of the security policy, we advise you to change the password frequently.
